FOX THEATRE RISING STARS
A Musical Theatre Intensive
What:
- Fox Theatre Rising Stars: A Musical Theatre Intensive will focus on helping participants hone their skills as both individual performers and as an ensemble.
- Classes include acting, music, dance, and “how to audition” workshops.
- Artistic Director Bill Newberry, dance instructor Jeffrey Scott Bailey, and acting coach Brian Baer will serve as the teaching artists. Their professional experience comes from Broadway, New York University, Disney’s High School Musical I and II, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Neil Simon.
- On the last day, participants will perform both solo and ensemble pieces in a musical revue featuring the work of a selected composer. The students will be able to choose their performance areas of interest to highlight in the finale.
Who:
- Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 17.
- Classes are in groups of 15-20.

Program Cost:
- The tuition fee to attend Fox Theatre Rising Stars is $500 for the week.
- Lunch and a ticket to a Broadway show at the Fox are included in the tuition fee.
Sponsor a Child:
- The Fox Theatre subsidizes the Fox Theatre Rising Stars program, providing a discounted tuition fee of $500.
- The Fox awards scholarships for half the campers.
