Patrons with Special Needs
If you have any questions or comments about special needs please contact Ken Shook

Welcome

The Fox Theatre is a fully restored 1929 "Movie Palace," and today is a multi purpose facility housing Broadway shows, ballet, symphonies, concerts, movies and private and corporate events.

The Fox Theatre is dedicated to providing persons with special needs a comfortable and enjoyable theatre experience. In fact, we have established several programs which are described herein to help patrons with special needs enjoy all the events presented in The Fox Theatre.

Liaison to the Disabled Community

In addition to training all staff members concerning the needs of special needs patrons and amenities of the Fox relating thereto, the Fox has designated one full-time staff member to act as special liaison to the disabled community. This liaison is available to provide information and answer questions for disabled patrons and their families on such topics as the location and price of wheelchair-accessible and special audience seats and the existence of other programs. The liaison likewise is available to assist those patrons who experience difficulty in purchasing tickets reserved for patrons with special needs, for whatever reason.

The current designated liaison is Ken Shook, Patron Services Director. He may be reached Monday through Friday during regular business hours at (404) 881-2118.
Mr. Shook's office is equipped with a TTY phone to assist hearing impaired patrons.
(404) 881-2082

When tickets for all of the seats on the orchestra level are the same price, each of the wheelchair locations and companion seats in this area will be priced at the next lowest ticket price for the performance. When tickets for the seats on the orchestra level are priced at two different price levels, the wheelchair locations and companion seats in this area will be priced at the lower of the two price levels. The wheelchair locations in this area will be reserved exclusively for wheelchair patrons and their companions until all other seats at the same price are sold for the performance.

The individual who purchases seats in these locations may also purchase one additional seat at the reduced price and up to two more adjacent seats at full price.
