The Fox Theatre is a fully restored 1929 "Movie Palace,"
and today is a multi purpose facility housing Broadway shows,
ballet, symphonies, concerts, movies and private and corporate
events.
The Fox Theatre is dedicated to providing persons with special
needs a comfortable and enjoyable theatre experience. In fact,
we have established several programs which are described herein
to help patrons with special needs enjoy all the events presented
in The Fox Theatre.
In addition to training all staff members concerning the
needs of special needs patrons and amenities of the Fox relating
thereto, the Fox has designated one full-time staff member
to act as special liaison to the disabled community. This
liaison is available to provide information and answer questions
for disabled patrons and their families on such topics as
the location and price of wheelchair-accessible and special
audience seats and the existence of other programs. The liaison
likewise is available to assist those patrons who experience
difficulty in purchasing tickets reserved for patrons with
special needs, for whatever reason.
The current designated liaison is Ken Shook, Patron Services
Director. He may be reached Monday through Friday during regular
business hours at (404) 881-2118.
