We are proud to serve the needs of our patrons with our staff
of over 2,500 volunteer ushers.
Anyone 18 years of age or older with a neat appearance and
good communication skills. Each volunteer is required to complete
the Volunteer Usher Orientation Class prior to ushering.
Once you complete the orientation program we ask that you
maintain active status by working the shows of your choosing.
If you become inactive after a one year period, you will be
dropped from the program and it may become necessary for you
to attend another session to become familiar with updated
policies and procedures.
Most of our volunteers will remain for the entire performances
of each show. However, for most shows each usher is released
of their duties about ten minutes after intermission.
The Fox Theatre runs new training sessions once a year. Each session is two hours in length. Typically The Fox alternates the sessions between a weeknight and a weekend.
All positions have now been filled for the 2008 Season. Our next orientation will
take place in spring of 2009.
There is a $10.00 non-refundable charge due with your completed application.
This cost covers the Usher Manual, badge, and flashlight provided by The Fox Theatre.
All applicants must pre-register before the event to be included.
