Fox Theatre Grant Program
The Fox Theatre Grant Program, through Fox Gives, supports the preservation and revitalization of historic theaters across Georgia, ensuring these cultural landmarks continue to enrich their communities. Since 2008, the program has awarded $4.2 million in financial assistance through single-year and multiyear grants, providing vital funding for restoration projects that drive economic growth and cultural impact. In addition to financial support, grantees may receive professional development opportunities through seminars and industry workshops.
Single-Year Grant Guidelines and Categories
Application Guidelines & Conditions
To be considered for grant funding, all applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) through the online grant system by midnight on Friday, July 18, 2025. The LOI does not require the submission of the two proposals, bids, or estimates for the grant work. Those two items are due when submitting the grant application. After an internal review, only approved applicants will be invited to complete the full grant application, which must be submitted by Friday, August 1, 2025. Please note that after the July 18th deadline, organizations can no longer submit an LOI or apply for a 2025/2026 Fox Theatre Grant, and the portal will close for that purpose. The online grant portal will close for applications on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:59 pm, and additional applications will not be accepted.
For more information about the 2025/2026 Single-Year Grants, the four funding categories, and how to navigate the online grant portal, please refer to the two resources below.

Current and Previous Grant Projects (2008-2024)
Fox Gives helps revitalize downtown districts by rehabilitating architecturally significant historic landmark buildings, such as our own at 660 Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta. Fox Gives' success is often part of larger partnered successes through local and regional non-profit and government organizations. The rehabilitation of historic buildings, especially theatres, also creates jobs and retains and grows the arts in large and small cities.
A vibrant theater thrives as the cornerstone of a historic downtown district lined with bustling shops, favorite restaurants, cocktail bars, and ample parking, all of which benefit immeasurably from a season of sold-out shows. From creating new jobs, both within the theater and in surrounding businesses, to helping revitalize declining downtown districts, restoring historic theatre venues often results in saving much more than a landmark structure. The Fox Theatre works to help these struggling theaters build a framework of support that we hope sustains beloved local landmarks, as well as the businesses and communities that surround them, for generations to come.
Since its inception, the Fox Theatre has collaborated on more than 96 historic theatre projects and contributed more than $4.2 million in grant funds to theatres across Georgia. We also offer support to non-historic theatres through Georgia Presenters and other technical assistance.
